AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) is an exam conducted by the Indian Air Force (IAF) for recruitment of officers in various branches of the Indian Air Force. It is conducted twice a year and is an opportunity for young individuals who aspire to serve the nation as an officer in the Indian Air Force.

Educational Qualification: The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized university. For the flying branch, the candidate must have passed with a minimum of 60% marks in Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 or BE/B.Tech.
Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure for AFCAT includes the following stages:
Written Exam: The first stage is a written exam conducted in an online mode. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions and is conducted for two hours.
AFSB Interview: Candidates who qualify for the written exam will be called for the AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) interview. The AFSB interview consists of various tests such as Psychological Test, Group Test, and Interview. The AFSB interview is conducted in two stages.
Medical Test: Candidates who clear the AFSB interview will have to undergo a medical examination.
Merit List: Candidates who clear all the stages of the selection process will be included in the merit list based on their performance in the written exam, AFSB interview, and medical test.
